FLORALS RETURN Paul | Boston

Last weekend, #MacysCampusTour brought us to Boston,  where we met up with Paul, who helped us style a few campus-worthy looks using pieces from Macy's mStyleLab collections.

Florals (don't think ugly hawaiian shirts your compsci professor wears) have started inching their way into men's wardrobe since Spring 2013 (check out a few shirts recommended by GQ), and it seems like they are here to stay.

Whether you decide to wear it by itself, casually on your way to class, or under a blazer, for a night out, the floral print is versatile, and is a great way to invigorate your wardrobe and get you ready for spring.

Paul is wearing a speckled red blazer from Bar III for Macy's, a floral shirt by Ben Sherman and a pair of blue slim fit chinos from Levi's collection for Macy's.

Our advice: downplay the print with solid pieces, like a pair of chinos or a blazer

FLAG BOW TIE Tyler | Virginia Tech

While dressing up to for class might elicit a few "What's the occasion?" questions, we are all for it, as we are firm believers that one dresses for one's self rather than for an occasion or for everyone else.

Continuing his coverage of campus style, as part of #MacysCampusTourAngel Verde sent us a couple of photos of Tyler, from Virginia Tech.

Tyler incorporated a bold Maryland Flag Bow Tie by Route One Apparel into his look by pairing it with a simple navy blazer, a salmon pink button-down shirt and a pair of slim Dockers chinos from Macy's collection.

SPRING NANTUCKET REDS Christina | Duke University

Shayan Asadi, one of our Duke University Campus Sartorialists, captured Christina welcoming spring with a pair of nantucket red shorts. Spring mornings can be a little chilly and layering will help you stay warm on your way to class. Christina combined her preppy shorts and cowboy boots, with a military inspired parka by American Rag for Macy's. Check out #MacysCampusTour for more spring inspiration.

PATTERNS, PURSES & PERSONALITY Alessandra | Fordham University

Our NYC resident Campus Sartorialist, James Breen shares his ideas on putting together an outfit, as part of #MacysCampusTour: "The number one thing when putting an outfit together is to make sure its "You". Don’t wear clothes that you think you should; wear what you like, what flatters you, and what is fun."

This beautiful Sartorialist mixes textures and patterns perfectly. There are three big pillars of fashion, color, texture, and patterns. Mixing different combinations of these three can create some outstanding looks, like this one. She kept the color palette basic while she amped up the textures and patterns. The flowy VInce Camuto Perforated Faux Leather Panel top from Macy's adds texture through the alternating black and white pattern.

Texture is important and in this outfit its present everywhere, from the metals to the leather on the skirt and bag. Warmer skin tones, like Alessandra's, favor gold, and she chose to accessorize her outfit by wearing a large gold ring and and a Gold Tone engraved Heart Bracelet set by American Rag at Macy's

Have fun, mix textures and patterns and be sure to express yourself!

MATERIAL GIRL Dana | UGA

Another post in #MacysCampusTour from our UGA Campus Sartorialists, this time from Dana, who tells us she "loves loves loves crop tops for spring".

"I generally like to stay covered up, so the long sleeves on this Material Girl top from Macy's help cover my lanky arms. I paired it with a fun Indian skirt that Maddie found at Goodwill (she said it fit my persona, does that mean I'm an Indian princess at heart?). For accessories, I paired it with some chunky wedges, I found at Goodwill, stacking rings by Rhys May, a necklace by Laurel Hill and a simple Baggu pouch."

DENIM & LEOPARD Brooke | University of Indianapolis

Since winter doesn't seem to want to leave just yet, our Campus Sartorialist Isaiah styled his girlfriend Brooke appropriately as part of #MacysCampusTour

Isaiah centered her outfit around the plus size "Kiss Me" jeggings and Pixie denim jacket, both from the Jessica Simpson line. This look was inspired by the last few days of winter we have left. Pretty much getting wearing coats and heavy layering out of your before spring arrives.

PAIR OF JEANS Fordham University

Our Campus Sartorialist in the city, James Breen, visited Macy's and here's what he found:

Since this is my first post in the exciting #MacysCampusTour series, I thought it appropriate to shop as if I were shopping for the first piece in a completely new wardrobe. It must be ubiquitous, it must be versatile, and it must be snazzy (pronounced: Sch-nah-zee). The clear-cut winner in the must-have-item category was a great pair of jeans. Shopping for a pair of jeans may be daunting, and the options may seem endless, with so many cuts, colors and brands out there. When I am looking for a quality pair of jeans I look no further then the Levi’s jeans bar. It might not be called a “jeans bar” per se, but I think it should (and I should get royalties) because the options and selections are endless.

I went for the slim-cut 511 dark Levi’s. This pair of jeans works for any occasion: a dinner date (the jeans go great with a blazer), hanging around the house, or just going to class. The dark color can easily transition from day to night, and the slim cut is both flattering and appropriate for work events.

Now its your turn, start the spring right and get a great pair of jeans for every occasion!
